Quota has two main fundraisers each year. We have the Three Sisters Open Golf Tournament
in the summer and the Holiday Auction in the winter.
We raise an average of $35,000 per year. All of the funds raised are given to other organizations and individuals who
fall under our "hearing impaired children and their families, and disadvantaged women and
children" umbrella.
The Sisters Open Golf Tournament will be played at the Juniper Golf Club in Redmond on June 28, 2008.

Picture This… It's 6:30am on Saturday morning. One Hundred
Forty-Four lady golfers are arriving
at the golf course. They are met with eager volunteers who carry their golf bags
to their carts, while they begin their warm-ups on the driving range and putting green
still covered with dew. They enjoy a continental breakfast of homemade fresh-baked
muffins, fruit, granola and yogurt parfaits, juice and coffee. Following registration
and breakfast, they jump into the golf carts and head out to their respective holes to begin
a scramble tournament full of fun and games. Following 4 hours of long drives, missed
short putts, lots of birdies, and an occasional outburst following a lucky eagle putt, the
golfers return to the clubhouse for lunch and awards.
Participants with single handicaps playing in the same tournament with "once-a-year" duffers
who giggle following an unwanted whiff creates some challenges. This tournament was created
to accommodate all. The teams are all handicapped and placed in 4 flights to make it fun and
challenging for all.
The Three Sisters Open was created by the women in the Leadership Bend Class of 1994. The
goal was to raise money for the Bend Women's Scholarship Fund. The fund was intended to
increase and expand the educational opportunities for women in Central Oregon. Scholarships
are awarded based upon need to women who are changing careers, re-entering the marketplace (after
raising a family), or wish to expand their current career. Since 1995, the Bend Women's
Scholarship Fund has awarded over 75 scholarships totaling $85,000.
In 1999, the Bend Women's Scholarship Fund joined with Quota International of Central Oregon.
Coordination of the event is the combined efforts of both groups. The focus and goals of the
two organizations formed a perfect match to continue with the tournament. Golfers come from
Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California. Many teams have been playing together since the
inception of the tournament. It's a perfect combination of fun, friendship and raising money for
great causes.
